In the front, the test mule sports halogen projector headlights, while the fenders carry traffic indicators instead of them being positioned on the outside rearview mirrors. The test mule also features Hyundai’s signature cascading grille design. The fog lamps are located on the lower bumper. In the side profile, the steel wheels which are covered by plastic wheel covers take the place of the machined alloy rims found on the top-of-the-line variant; the blacked-out pillars are also absent in this variant. In the rear, it is packed with rear parking sensors with a four-sensor system, two more than those on the Hyundai Santro.

2019 Hyundai Grand i10 exterior has been spotted with some changes against the current model
The 2019 Hyundai Grand i10 will be supported by a revised version of the BA platform. Under the hood of the new-gen model will be a BSVI-compliant version of the 1.2L Kappa petrol motor. Due to the decreasing demand for diesel hatchbacks and the huge investment cost to make them conform to the BSVI norms, the diesel engine will be excluded from the motor options for the new car. An optional 5-speed Smart Auto AMT gearbox will be complemented besides the standard 5-speed MT unit to replace the existing 4-speed torque-converter auto transmission.

The 2019 Hyundai Grand i10 is expected to go on sale in India in October 2019, after the Styx (OXi) and the Kona EV. Once launched in India in October 2019, the new-gen Grand i10 is expected to be priced as high as the current model, which has an introductory price Rs 4.91 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The vehicle is anticipated to take on the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Swift, which currently dominates the Indian hatchback segment and the forthcoming facelifted Ford Figo. The new Grand i10 will replace the current model and help Hyundai boost the sales of this vehicle.
