The official brochure for the 2020 Tata Harrier BS6 has been released. Compared to the BS4 version, the BS6 model sports a more powerful engine, better equipment, and a higher price tag. There are no changes to the exterior or interior design though, except for the addition of a new paint scheme - Calypso Red Colour with Dual Tone options.

The engine, although the same 2.0-litre Fiat-sourced diesel unit as before, has been tuned to offer more power. It now generates 170 PS, an increase of 30 PS as compared to the previous model. The torque rating, however, has remained constant at 350 Nm. Apart from that, the new Harrier also gets an automatic transmission, which was a much-needed upgrade. Apart from the engine and transmission, the 2020 Tata Harrier also offers an electronic panoramic sunroof, ergonomically-better ORVMs, improved 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Electrically Adjustable Driver’s Seat, and three USB ports. In line with Tata’s effort to improve vehicular safety, ESP (Electronic Stability Program) is offered standard across the range, along with ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), seatbelt reminder (front seats), door open warning, and speeding warning.

The 2020 Tata Harrier BS6 is now priced from Rs. 13.69 lakh to Rs. 20.25 lakh. The SUV competes against Kia Seltos, Jeep Compass, Mahindra XUV500, and the upcoming Hyundai Creta (next-gen).
