2021 Toyota Camry will be launched in the American market with a host of cosmetic and mechanic updates. In addition, Toyota also launches a limited edition called Toyota Camry Apex Edition.

Toyota Camry is one of the most successful mid-sized sedans in the North American market for almost 2 decades. In the following year, the Japanese car brand will roll out a new version of the best-selling sedan. The 2021 Toyota Camry will come with a host of styling updates as well as other feature enhancements.

In terms of design, the new Camry will get a sportier exterior. Moreover, there is also an addition of four new exterior colours, which are Ice Edge, Blue Streak Metallic, Midnight Black Metallic and Supersonic Red. One of the highlights on the new mid-size sedan is the Safety Sense 2.5 Plus system update. Apart from the existing features, the new Camry will get a pre-collision safety system which can detect cyclists and pedestrians under low light condition. On the other hand, the newly-added Intersection Support will perform automatic braking whenever unexpected oncoming traffic is spotted. Other features of the Safety Sense 2.5 Plus suite include Adaptive Cruise Control, Emergency Steering Assist, Lane-Keep Assist and more.

Along with regular Toyota Camry, Toyota will also introduce a new and sporty version of the mid-size sedan called the Toyota Camry Apex Edition. Along with styling updates, the Camry Apex Edition also gets some performance enhancements like stiffer suspension, light wheels, and lower ground clearance. However, it will not be as performance-focused as the top-spec TRD variant. This version will be offered in a limited number of 6,000 units. This limited edition is based on the SE and XSE variants. It will be available with three choices of colours, Black Sand Pearl, Cement, and Super White.

2021 Toyota Camry will be offered with two choices of internal combustion engines and one hybrid option. Two regular engine choices include a 2.5-litre Dynamic Force NA i4 and 3.5-litre NA V6 which generate 203hp/250Nm and 301hp/362Nm, respectively. These engines are mated to either an 8-speed automatic gearbox or a 6-speed CVT. The hybrid engine variant is powered by a 176 Bhp 2.5-litre i4 engine along with a 118 Bhp electric motor. This hybrid powertrain can unleash a total power of 208 Bhp. For the Camry Apex Edition, there will be one engine option - a 2.0-litre Dynamic Force NA i4 engine which generates a top power of 169 Bhp and a maximum torque of 205 Nm. The transmission duty is done by either a 10-step Direct Shift CVT or a 6-speed manual gearbox.
