The Korean carmaker Hyundai will soon launch the BS-VI compliant variant of Santro
The upcoming BS-VI compliant version of Hyundai Santro will be propelled by a 1.1-litre, four-cylinder mill that puts out 69 PS of power at 5,500 rpm and 99 Nm of twisting force at 4,500 rpm. Transmission duties are performed by a 5-speed manual and 5-speed automatic gearbox. In terms of dimensions, the Hyundai Santro will remain the same. The car is 3,610 mm long, 1,645 mm wide and 1,560 mm in height. The hatchback gets retailed in four different trim levels namely- Era Executive, Magna, Sportz and Asta. One can expect a slight hike in prices of the upcoming BS-VI model as compared to the ongoing BS-IV model.

The hatchback comes loaded with some standard features like driver-side airbags, rear parking sensors, high-speed warning light ABS with EBD, engine immobilizer and child safety lock. Hyundai Santro is being offered in 7 smart looking colour shades namely- Typhoon Silver, Polar White, Titan Grey, Imperial Beige, Marina Blue, Fiery Red and Diana Green.
Moreover, Hyundai Verna will also get updated with a BS-VI compliant engine in April this year. The BS-VI mill is expected to get introduced earlier to the facelift to make sure that the sale of the premium sedan continues even after March.
