Recently, the American automaker Jeep confirmed that they’ve plans to introduce three new vehicles in the Indian market, including a new version of the Compass. The carmaker is expected to launch the updated SUV in our market by the first half of next year. Recent reports suggets that the 2021 model will get minor styling updates.

The India-spec Jeep facelift will be powered by a BS6-compliant petrol and diesel mill
The updated SUV will employ sleeker headlights slightly overrunning the bumper upfront. The car will get redesigned front grille and bumper. The lower air intake and fog lamp housing will observe subtle changes. The side profile of the car is expected to remain the same, but it’ll employ revised bumper along with LED taillights at the back. A major change will be made inside the cabin. The new Jeep Compass will get a 12.3-inch portrait-style touchscreen infotainment system.
It’ll feature the company’s latest UConnect 5 infotainment unit, which was revealed last year at the Consumer Electronics Show. The infotainment unit will offer 6 GB RAM and 64 GB storage, Amazon Alexa system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The SUV will also feature driver assistance systems like lane keep assist and adaptive cruise control. The Brazilian-spec 2021 Jeep Compass Facelift will be powered by a 1.3-litre Firefly T4 flex gasoline mill coupled to a new CVT transmission. At the moment, it’s not clear whether the carmaker will offer Sport trim with the T4 flex petrol engine or not.

The India-spec 2021 Jeep Compass facelift is likely to be powered by a BS6-compliant 1.4-litre petrol unit, which puts out 163bhp of peak power. The SUV will also be offered with a 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine that produces 173bhp of power output. The engine will come mated to a manual or an automatic gearbox option. The SUV rivals with the likes of Tata Harrier and MG Hector.
