Kia Motors made its debut in India last year with the Seltos SUV. The Hyundai Creta-rival became quite popular among the SUV buyers within a very short period of time. After the success of their first product, the carmaker launched its second model, the Carnival MPV. Kia officially launched the premium MPV at the 2020 Auto Expo. Just like Seltos SUV, Carnival has been warmly welcomed by the buyers. The MPV is on sale in India from past few months and is doing pretty well in terms of sales. The automaker has recently announced that they have retailed around 3,000 units of this premium MPV in our market since its official launch.
New-gen Kia Carnival Interior Revealed in Latest Spy Shots
The Kia MPV is not a cheap car, and clocking these sales numbers in such a short period of time is actually a big achievement for the Korean carmaker. The MPV has no direct rivals as it sits above the Toyota Innova Crysta, but is positioned below the Toyota Vellfire and Mercedes-Benz V-Class. Through this product placement strategy, the carmaker could be trying to create a niche for itself.
The MPV is being offered in 7, 8, and 9 seating configuration. Kia Motors retails the premium MPV in three different trim levels namely- Premium, Prestige and Limousine. The top-of-the-line variant comes loaded with features like dual sunroof, VIP seats, rear-seat entertainment systems, tri-zone climate control and power sliding doors.
