For a new face in the automobile industry, there is no other way to make a case for itself than offering what is deemed to be best of the best. And Kia seems to follow the same strategy for their business in India, starting with the Kia SP2i. It is reported that this new B-SUV will sport a large 18-inch gunmetal alloy wheel, which is unparalleled in its class. Large wheels are added to make the SP2i look sportier and appealing to the younger population which is Kia’s targeted market.

On top of that, Kia SP2i is also reported to come with segment-first features like head-up display, digital instrument cluster, built-in Wi-fi, wireless charger and 360-degree camera and power driver seat. The adjustable ventilated front seat is also reported to be included in the offered package.
Kia will bring the platform underpinning the segment-leading Hyundai Creta but with essential updates. Under the hood, it might deploy the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol and 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engines. Especially with the performance-oriented variant, it will be packed with a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine. That said, this version might go on sale later after the debut. The company even wants to expand the range of the SP2i with a seven-seater version. But it still much depends on how the market receives the upcoming five-seater.
