The Japanese automaker has set high expectations for the recently-launched Nissan Magnite. With an aggressive price, which is actually the most affordable in the segment and some advanced features, the compact SUV has been warmly welcomed by Indian customers. In less than half a month within its arrival, the Nissan Magnite has recorded more than 10,000 bookings: 60% for the top-spec variants and 40% for online bookings. The rising demand has made its waiting period increase up to three months, depending on the variants.

The Nissan Magnite lineup is offered in 20 variants across four trims: XE, XL, XV and XV Premium. The subcompact SUV receives its power from two engine options: a 1.0-litre 3-cyl NA petrol motor and a 1.0-litre 3-cyl turbo-petrol motor. The transmission duties are performed by two transmission options: a standard 5-speed MT and a CVT which is only available on the turbo-petrol motor.
According to a leaked document, the entry-level XE variant has the longest waiting period of more than 12 weeks while the XL MT, XV Premium MT and Turbo XL CVT variants have the shortest waiting time of only 2-4 weeks.
