Being the latest B2-segment hatchback in the Indian auto market, the Tata Altroz has been rather quick to establish itself well in the market. While the Altroz still pales in comparison with the Tata Nexon as regards the sales number, this hatchback and the Tata Tiago both play an important role in the monthly sales of the automaker. Since its launch, it is the first time that the hatchback has experienced an increase in its price. In a new development, prices of the Tata Altroz have been increased by up to INR 15,000 across all the trim lines. The minimum and maximum price hikes are INR 3,000 and INR 15,000, respectively.

The Tata Altroz is equipped with several features, including a dual-tone dashboard with a 7-inch infotainment system, a semi-digital instrument cluster, steering-mounted audio and telephone controls, an ambient lighting system, cruise control, etc. The home-grown automaker is also providing many customization options for the Tata Altroz. The hatchback receives its power from two BS6 motor options. While the 1.2-litre gasoline burner can deliver 86 PS against 113 Nm, the 1.5-litre oil unit can generate 90 PS against 200 Nm. The transmission duties on both the versions are undertaken by a 5-speed manual unit. The Tata Altroz competes with the Maruti Baleno, Hyundai Elite i20, Volkswagen Polo and Toyota Glanza.
