Since it first launched in January 2017, Tata Hexa from the home-grown manufacturer – Tata Motors, has been considering the new flagship SUV. Being designed based on the Aria platform, the flagship SUV has initially caught a host of concerns along with an overwhelming response from customers. Afterwards, however, the market started to crease for a few months after the Hexa first launch.
Tata Hexa has been treated as the new flagship of Tata Motors
Recently, the Tata Hexa has come back with a 2.2L Varicor diesel engine. This engine can generate two different outputs including 154bhp with 400Nm and 148bhp with 320Nm. This powertrain is also seen in the Tata Safari Strome.
As per report release currently, Tata is likely to introduce the new 2.0L, four-cylinder Kryotec diesel engine equipped in the upcoming Tata Harrier SUV. The Tata Hexa with Kryotec engine is also claimed to launch around the end of 2019. This engine is underpinned from the Cryogenic rocket engine. The BS6-ready oil burner is reported to churn out 138bhp (140PS) and 350Nm of torque.

The Harrier's 7 seater version will be also used the same diesel engine option. However, it is expected to generate the higher power which is 170bhp output. Thanks to the liquid hydrogen used as an oxidizer, this new Kryotec diesel engine can produce fewer carbon footprints.
The diesel motor was based on the low friction train architecture, hence will come fitted with advanced EGR which is exhaust gas recirculation. As a result, the motor can both make it compliant to emission norms and improve its fuel efficiency.
