French carmaker Renault continues to test the facelifted Kwid, which is expected to get launched by the end of this year. The test mule of the hatchback has been spotted again, which reveals that the facelifted model will come equipped with C-shaped LED taillights. Moreover, the hatchback will get propelled by the BSVI-compliant motor. The car shares its design cues with the Kwid K-ZE EV, which was showcased at the 2019 Shanghai Motor Show. Due to heavy camouflage, the facelifted Renault Kwid is not visible properly but we expect the hatchback to receive extensive cosmetical upgrades on the outside and inside. Upfront, the car will feature similar split headlamps, LED DRLs, new front grille, restyled bumper, redesigned foglamp and a bigger air dam.

As seen earlier on the Renault K-ZE, the all-new Renault Kwid will get fresh upholstery, updated MediaNAV infotainment system and numerous other creature comforts for driver and passenger. The hatchback will also come updated with new safety features to comply with upcoming crash norms which will come into action from October 2019. Under the hood, 2019 Renault Kwid will feature a 0.8-litre, petrol mill which cranks out power and torque outputs of 54 bhp and 72 Nm. On the other hand, the car will also get a more powerful 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol motor which develops 68 bhp and 91 Nm. Transmission duties will be done by a 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT. The 2019 facelifted Renault Kwid will compete with the likes of Maruti Wagon R, Hyundai Santro and Tata Tiago.
The hatchback will also come updated with new safety features to comply with upcoming crash norms which will come into action from October 2019.
The all-new Kwid will likely to demand a bit premium over the ongoing model. As expected the hatchback will be priced between Rs 2.77-4.75 lakh. Before the Kwid facelift, the company will launch the Triber MPV by this month only. The Renault Triber will extract power from a 1.0-litre, petrol engine which cranks out 52 bhp of power and, it'll come mated to a 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT.
