Giving a car never meant to do off-road some level of all-terrain capability has become a hot trend in the current modification world. That’s also the case for this Nissan GT-R that is born to be a mile-muncher but not a true-blue off-roader. However, with its factory-fitted sophisticated all-wheel-drive system, making a GT-R an off-road spec vehicle is not a crazy idea at all. It’s just about the money that prevents many folks from doing so. The Nissan GT-R has a base price of $113,000 (ex-showroom, US), making it one of the most expensive drives among luxury sports car but it’s quite clear that the Netherlands-based car mod company the Classic Youngtimers Consultancy doesn’t mind.
While a lot of modified cars take inspiration from outgoing rally cars from 1980 and 1990s, it appears that the Classic Youngtimers Consultancy has modified the Nissan GT-R with that in their mind. It remains unclear what year the Nissan GT-R is but from the look as well as the horsepower of it, it should be produced from 2009 to 2011.
The exterior of the Nissan GT-R has been modified, obviously. The camouflage vinyl wrap matches well with the rugged appearance of the vehicle. It looks much taller with an aftermarket 4.7-inch suspension lift and larger and more rugged tires mounted to its factory wheels. The bigger rubber of the car is covered by modified blacked-out fender flares and custom wheel arches. There’s an aftermarket roof rack housing a full-sized spare wheel, huge lights with amber lamps in crosshair patterns, a forward-point LED light bar at the front.

As a world’s renowned urban sports car, performance has always been the GT-R’s forte. Surely, to make the car more capable to handle rugged terrains, the company has tweaked something under its hood. It is powered by a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6 engine option that is capable of generating over 600 horsepower. In the stock form, the Nissan GT-R can rocket from 0 to 100 kmph in just around 2.9 seconds. However, with the lift height and extra weight from the roof rack, the modified Nissan GT-R might not be that quick.

This is not the first time Classic Youngtimers Consultancy rolls out a vehicle of sorts. In fact, this modified Nissan GT-R is the company’s third project of developing a purpose-built off-roader based on a vehicle that you don’t usually see on rugged roads. In the past, they used to pull off amazing works on the Lamborghini Gallardo along with a Bentley Continental GT with a similar formula of a raised suspension, roof rack, extra lighting and fender flares.
