Tata Sierra is an old model which ceased a long time ago. The SUV existed from 1991 to 2003. Nearly two decades since the discontinuation of the Sierra in the India market, the SUV remains to be a subject of interest for the car mod enthusiasts across the nation. NYC Custom, a Nagpur-based car custom garage, has uploaded a video on their Youtube channel, introducing a heavily-modified Tata Sierra unit. The modified Tata Sierra sports major updates which transform it into an off-road-ready vehicle.

On the front end, this Tata Sierra has undergone substantial structural and styling updates. The old bumper is replaced with an after-market unit along with the addition of a bull bar, fog lights, pronounced underbody skid plates. One highlight of the new front avatar is the black-out headlight housing and dual illuminating waving dashes on each side. The grille is also customized with an NYC badge at the centre.

To increase the road presence and enhance the offroad capacity, this Tata Sierra has adopted a new set of larger wheels. On the rooftop, an external roll cage is installed along with an LED light bar. The roll cage can be used as a roof rack, and as we can see, a spare wheel has been mounted on the roll cage. The three-door design is kept unchanged.

The rear end is modified with some offroad-enhancing features, for example, two towing hooks, a jerry can holder and a chimney-style snorkel. In addition, the vehicle also gets an off-road-spec bumper, skit plate, quad exhaust pipes as well as black-out taillights. The modification is finished with the olive green paint and a few stickers across the body.
In the past, Tata Sierra was powered by a 2.0-litre Peugeot-sourced diesel engine. In the beginning, Tata offered this engine as a naturally-aspirated unit. From 1998, Tata started offering the turbocharged version of the engine. This engine came with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Tata sold the Tata Sierra with both RDW and 4WD configuration.
