Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) has finally launched the second-generation Hyundai Creta in the Indian market. Even before its launch, the SUV had managed to garner roughly 14,000 pre-orders since bookings opened on 2nd March 2020. The new Creta has finally been launched in India at a starting price of just Rs. 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

There are three engine options available, along with four trim levels for the petrol versions and five for the diesel ones. The SUV is also being offered with automatic gearboxes right from the get-go.

As for the engines, followers of IndianAuto already know that the 2020 Creta is offered with a 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol, a 1.5-litre turbo-diesel, and a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol. The 1.5L petrol motor is available with a 6-speed manual as standard and a CVT gearbox as an option. The 1.5L diesel mill comes mated to a 6-speed manual as standard and an optional 6-speed automatic. The 1.4L turbo-petrol can only be bought with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic, with paddle shifters behind the steering wheel. The complete spec sheet is given below.
