2021 Hyundai Elantra Unveiled

The next generation Hyundai Elantra was revealed at an official event hosted in West Hollywood

Recently, an event happened in West Hollywood where Hyundai revealed the new-gen Elantra for global markets, and we expect the new premium sedan to hit the Indian shores by 2021. The car has also gained a hybrid version, and Hyundai has completely updated the executive sedan inside and out. In terms of looks, the all-new Elantra looks quite sporty and premium. The production of the all-new sedan will take place at the carmaker’s South Korean and US plant in Alabama. Upfront, the car features a new jewel-pattern 3D cascading grille with integrated side blinkers and heavily sculpted body.

The car has also gained a hybrid version, and Hyundai completely updated the executive sedan outside and inside

Moreover, it also employs a low placed bonnet, H-shaped LED taillamps, aggressive dual-tone alloy wheels, chrome inserts at the front and rear, sleeker side mirrors, buys front bumper with fog lamps, lower roofline and much more. The Korean carmaker also claims that the seventh-gen Hyundai Elantra will offer a more progressive in-car experience in its segment.

The all-new executive sedan will be based on the company’s third-gen K3 platform, which means the new-gen Hyundai Elantra has a longer wheelbase and wider stance, which translates to spacious interiors. Inside, the cabin of the new-gen model looks more premium, it features a 10.25-inch instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, mood lighting and an electronic sunroof.

The all-new model will offer an estimated fuel efficiency of 21.2 kmpl

The new-gen Hyundai Elantra will also offer a host of safety features like Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), Driver Attention Warning (DAW), Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA), High Beam Assist (HBA), Lane Change Assist (LCA) and Lane Following Assist (LFA). The all-new hybrid Elantra will derive power from a 1.6-litre, GDI Atkinson-cycle, four-cylinder, petrol motor coupled to a 32 kW lithium-ion battery pack. The engine will offer a combined power and torque outputs of 139 bhp and 264 Nm. Transmission duties are done by a 6-speed DCT. The all-new model will offer an estimated fuel efficiency of 21.2 kmpl.
