One of the most popular hatchbacks in India, the Hyundai i20 is all set to be launched in the new-gen avatar on November 5, in the country. Moreover, the official bookings for the new-gen i20 will commence from tomorrow i.e. October 28, against a sum of Rs. 21,000. One can make the booking either by visiting the dealership or via Hyundai's Click To Buy digital platform.
The new-gen Hyundai i20 will come in a total of eight colour options - 6 single-tone and 2 dual-tone. The single-tone colour options are - Polar White, Typhoon Silver, Titan Grey, Fiery Red, Starry Night, and Metallic Copper. The dual-tone colour options, on the other hand, are - Polar White with Black Roof and Fiery Red with Black Roof.

The all-new Hyundai i20 is certainly sharper and more premium than the outgoing car. The front fascia of the hatchback gets a larger grille, sleeker headlamps and fog lamps while the rear end features triangular connected tail lamps.
Inside the cabin, the 2020 Hyundai i20 will carry a new minimalistic layout. The prominent interior features on the new i20 will comprise of a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a semi-digital instrument cluster, a flat-bottom steering, Bose sound system and a sunroof. Particularly, the company’s latest BlueLink connected car tech offered on the Venue will be seen with the new vehicle.

The new-gen Hyundai i20 will come with the same set of engines sourced from the Hyundai Venue sibling. That includes a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine (120PS/ 172 Nm), a 1.2-litre NA petrol mill (83 PS/ 114 Nm) and a 1.5-litre diesel unit (100 PS/ 240 Nm). Transmission choices for the car will encompass a 5-speed MT (for the 1.2 petrol), a 6-speed MT (for the diesel) and a 6-speed MT/ 6-speed iMT/ 7-speed DCT (for the turbo-petrol unit).
The estimated prices of the new Hyundai i20 2020 will stand at around Rs 6 lakh mark (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will continue the fight with the likes of Maruti Baleno, Toyota Glanza, Tata Altroz, VW Polo and Honda Jazz in India.
