We have recently informed you of a Chinese company which develops a Coronavirus-beater SUV. Auto manufacturers in India have made hard efforts to prevent Covid-19. Multi-national companies like Rolls Royce and Hyundai Motor India are taking measures including requiring all the staff to say greetings instead of shaking hands, screening employees entering the plants with thermal sensors, checking attendance with cards instead of fingerprints.
Covid-19 has spread fear all over the world.
Hyundai, which has 30,500 employees (both direct and indirect ones) at its Sriperumbudur factory is screening all the people who enter its premises. Besides, all employees are required to wash their hands at all canteens and checkpoints.
Director-production of Hyundai, S Ganesh Mani, stated,
“We started taking basic precautions a month ago. For the past 15 days, we have started a habit of namaste and all employees are being screened with non-touchable thermometers at the gates.”
Moreover, all foreign travels have been reduced as much as possible and numerous activities have been substituted by video conference.
Numerous methods have been taken by auto companies to prevent Covid-19.
Rolls Royce is also implementing similar methods as some precautions against Covid-19. Tata Motors has allowed all the employees working in Shanghai-based JLR China & Chery Jaguar Land Rover to work from home since the lunar holiday ended.

Not only factories but also IT parks in Chennai are checking the temperature of all the employees with handheld thermometers as a compulsory activity. An administrative official working for tech park Global Infocity in Perungudi stated,
“We have been screening all employees for two weeks. All MNCs set up inside our premises have given their consensus to run these checks.”
IT SEZ Chenna 1 Etc Tower, where MNCs like TCS are located, has started screening employees from Monday using a non-contact infrared thermometer. A TCS emplyee stated,
“There were checks for Coronavirus on Monday at the gate. We had to wait in a long queue. The security had placed hand sanitiser at the entrance for use.”
A TCS spokesperson commented that they are collaborating with health institutions to conduct the most updated recommendations. All the staff will receive all the necessary support and information.
