The local subsdiary of the Korean automaker, Kia has revealed the prices of the top-spec GTX+ 1.0-litre DCT and GTX+ 1.5-litre diesel automatic trims. The petrol trim will be offered with a 7-speed DCT, and the diesel variant will come paired with a 6-speed AT. Both the trims have been priced at Rs 12.89 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India) each. The 1.0-litre GTX+ petrol iMT and 1.5-litre diesel manual trims are priced at Rs 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The all-new Kia Sonet is retailed at an introductory starting price of Rs 6.71 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), which makes, at the moment, it the most affordable sub-4-meter SUV in the Indian market. Moreover, its top-spec GTX+ trims even make it the most expensive car in its segment.

The all-new Kia Sonet is offered in two different trims- Tech Line (THE, HTK, HTK+ and HTX) and GT Line (GTX+) and it is also offered in 11 unique colour shade options. Kia Sonet is the only car its segment to be offered with diesel engine mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. Inside, it comes equipped with a lot of segment-first features like a massive 10.25-inch HD touchscreen with navigation and live traffic, Bose premium seven-speaker sound system with sub-woofer, Smart Pure air purifier with virus and bacteria protection and front ventilated driver and passenger seats. Moreover, it also gets features like LED sound mood lights, 4.2-inch colour instrument cluster, Over-the-air (OTA) map updates, remote engine start via UVO Connect and Smart Key (automatic and manual transmission), wireless smartphone charger with cooling function, multi-drive & traction modes for automatic trims.

In terms of design, the production-spec Kia Sonet looks a lot like the concept model showcased at the Auto Expo 2020. It employs a ‘Tiger Nose’ grille upfront, silver-coloured faux skid plate, and a sporty looking bumper. Illumination duties are done by LED headlamps with integrated Heartbeat LED DRLs. The side profile of the SUV gets blacked-out pillars, all black plastic cladding, sloping roofline, rear-sloping C-pillar, and bold creases. The rear profile of the SUV will feature wrap-around LED taillights adjoined by red coloured reflector strip, a sporty looking rear bumper and faux dual-exhaust muffler.
