The Kia SP2i which is built on the Kia SP Concept is expected to turn into a production version and will go on sale in the second half of 2019. Kia SP Signature displayed at 2019 Seoul Motor Show looks more refined than the Kia SP Concept at Auto Expo 2018
Put it beside the original SP Concept, Kia SP Signature is fundamentally similar. However, there are still some substantial changes delivered on the newer SP Signature. The Signature is more polished and looks more like a near-production model. It now features door handles, DRLs and LED light at the front and rear end. The fascia reflects almost the same design featured on the SP Concept, with some minor twists like the smaller headlight and revised bump. Chrome application is widely used on the exterior of the Kia Signature. From the latest images of Kia SP2i, the production version of the SP Concept will come with dual-tone machined alloy wheels.
Kia SP2i is expected to come with a fully-loaded interior with many premium features
Both of them are finished in orange exterior paint and comes with dual tone theme. However, the later born Signature features a sleeker black-orange car paint while the SP Concept gets white top along with orange shade on the body panels.
The interior of the SP Signature is kept under the wrap but from what we observed from the revealed SP Concept, it is expected that the SP2i will come with Mercedes-inspired infotainment-instrument cluster unit, black and brown dual tone interior. It will be loaded with a host of advanced features, from a full-view camera, head-up display, ambient lighting, wireless charging and in-vehicle WiFi.
About the powertrain option, this compact SUV of Kia will be available with both petrol and diesel options. Besides, a performance-oriented variant will be introduced at the later stage. It will pit against the likes of Hyundai Creta, Renault Duster and Captur. It will be priced from Rs 10-16 lakh.
