The vehicle’s USP is its AI assistant, which can be activated using voice commands. The virtual assistant is extremely intuitive and can understand a host of commands to aid its passengers in a comfortable journey. The MG Hector offers three powertrain options; a 1.5-litre petrol that produces 143 Bhp, the same engine along with a 48V mild hybrid system, and a 2.0-litre diesel engine that churns out 170 Bhp. A 6-speed manual transmission comes as standard, with the option for a 6-speed dual clutch transmission on the petrol-only variant. MG Hector is priced between ₹12.18 Lakh and ₹18.88 Lakh (ex-showroom), and goes up against Tata Harrier, Jeep Compass, Hyundai Creta, and the recently launched Kia Seltos.
