In terms of performance, the Tata Tiago XZ+ is available with both petrol and diesel engines. The transmission duties on both the engine variants are undertaken by a 5-speed MT gearbox as standard. The AMT transmission is also offered in some petrol variants but the recently launched XZ+ does not get it.

While the single-colour version of petrol Tata Tiago XZ+ has been priced at Rs 5.57 lakh, its dual-colour version costs Rs 5.64 lakh. The Tata Tiago JTP is the high-performance version of the Tata Tiago
Attaining considerable popularity with Indian hatchback enthusiasts, the Tata Tiago directly compete with the Hyundai Santro. The high-performance Tata Tiago JTP was also introduced to the Indian auto market late last year. Despite borrowing the 1.2L turbocharged engine from the Tata Nexon, the Tata Tiago JTP has a more impressive performance than its counterpart with a maximum power of 114 bhp and a peak torque of 150Nm. The transmission duties are undertaken by a 5-speed manual gearbox, but the gear ratios have been altered to give it an impressive performance.
