New-Gen Volkswagen Vento Launched In Russia At Rs 8.37 Lakh

The new-gen Volkswagen Vento has been launched in Russia at a starting price of RUB 7,92,900 (Rs 8.37 lakh).

Like the Russia-spec new Skoda Rapid, the new Volkswagen Vento is a liftback. The new Vento comes with a more elegant styling which gives it a more mature appearance. As regards the exterior, the new Vento for Russia and other CIS countries is equipped with full LED headlamps, 16-inch alloy wheels, and full LED taillights. The interior is more upmarket with a much more modern styling and high-tech features. Some of the most outstanding ones include an 8-inch Composition Media floating touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch Active Info Display configurable virtual instrument cluster and a USB-C port.

The Russia-spec new VW Vento comes with a very fashionable appearance.

The VW Vento borrows the old PQ25 platform from its outgoing model with three motor options. The level-entry one is a 1.6-litre MPI N/A 4-cyl gasoline burner which can generate 90 PS against 115 Nm and is mated to a 5-speed MT. The mid-spec one is a 1.6-litre 4-cyl petrol motor which is good for 110 PS against 155 Nm and is paired with a 6-speed AT. The top-spec one is a 1.4-litre TSI turbo 4-cyl petrol unit which can deliver 125 PS against 200 Nm and is coupled with a 7-speed DSG DCT unit.

The new vehicle is also equipped with an upmarket interior.

The Indian auto market will receive a different upcoming VW Vento which will be based on the MQB A0 IN platform. The vehicle is expected to reach the Indian showrooms this year.
