The airport was built back in 2008 and was called Bangalore International Airport. In 2013, it was renamed Kempegowda International Airport after the founder of Bangalore, Kempe Gowda I. P2 parking at Bangalore Airport is the budget option. If you need to park your car overnight, you will be guided to the designated parking slot. Parking fees for up to 2 hours is Rs. 100, and after that, you’ll be charged Rs. 50 for every additional 2-hour period. One-day parking costs Rs. 500, and every subsequent day will cost Rs. 300.

P3 zone is the premium parking zone at Bangalore Airport. It costs Rs 100 for the first hour, and then Rs. 50 for every hour over it. There is no 24-hour parking fee, so be careful otherwise you’d end up burning a hole in your parking. P3 is supposed to be a short term parking zone, so choose accordingly.

Bangalore Airport has designated parking for buses as well. For a bus with less than 16 seats, the parking fare is Rs. 200 for 2 hours. For a larger bus (16 seats or more), the fare increases to Rs. 500 for a 2-hour period.

In case you lose your parking ticket, you’ll have to pay a penalty. For four-wheelers (cars, buses, etc), the penalty is Rs. 500. For two-wheelers (scooters and motorcycles), the fine is Rs. 150. The penalty amount has to be which will be paid in addition to the parking fee.

The P2 Parking area also has dedicated parking slots for the differently-abled. People with reduced mobility can park their vehicles very close to the passenger terminal. Bangalore International Airport also provides a charging facility for electric vehicles. Access to these charging points is free. There are signboards to help seek both the above-mentioned spots, and you can also ask the parking attendant at the entry for assistance.
