It is one of the first major international shows to take place in over a year. This auto show attracted a lot of enthusiasts as the event saw the revealing of several new concepts and prototypes from automakers around the world. So, here are the top five vehicles unveiled at the Auto Shanghai 2021.
Toyota Fortuner VS MG Gloster in a Drag Race
Toyota revealed the bZ4X electric crossover, which is the company’s first vehicle under Toyota’s bZ range of electric cars. One of the most impressive things about the bZ4X is its smart design language. The electric SUV also features a solar charging system on board. The Japanese automaker has also trademarked the bZ series in India.
The Honda SUV e: Prototype was one of the biggest head turners at the Auto Shanghai 2021. It seems to be an all-electric version of the recently revealed third-gen Honda HR-V. While both cars look pretty similar to each other, the Honda SUV e: Prototype looks slightly different as it gets a closed grille and a lot of lighting tech all around. The technical specs of the car are still under covers, all we know is that it runs on an all-electric motor
We must agree that the Audi A6 e-Tron concept was the most amazing looking concepts revealed at the Auto Shanghai 2021. It gets a smart-looking Softback coupe-like design philosophy. The carmaker says that it will offer over 700kms of range and will come to feature an innovative headlight tech, which doubles up as a projector for video games. The technical specs of the car yet to be revealed, but it is claimed to sprint from 0-100kmph under seven seconds.
Carmakers also revealed a slew of production-spec cars at the Auto Shanghai 2021. One of the most engaging electric cars revealed at the show was the Genesis G80. It will be sold alongside its combustion-engine counterpart. It will derive power from a dual-motor electric powertrain, which develops 370 PS and 700 Nm of torque. It is rated to offer 500kms of range in one full charge.
ORA Punk Cat is Copy Cat, Looks Identical to VW Beetle
ORA Punk Cat EV was one of the most controversial cars of Auto Shanghai 2021. The design of the new ORA EV is inspired by the VW Beetle of the 1960s. The car has also attracted the ire of the VW legal department. The technical specifications of the car will be revealed in the near future.
