At launch, the Santro is priced at 3.90 lakh, but Hyundai has cleared that this is only the introductory price for the first 50,000 customers. And beyond that point, Santro will be given a price hike, which is predictable as what Hyundai offers on the Santro is ahead of other cars of the same segment. The five variants that the Santro offers are D-Lite, Era, Magna, Sportz and Asta with the D-Lite will be the base variant.
Before getting into the details of each variant, we will get to know what is hidden under the hood of Hyundai Santro. The standard engine on the Santro is the 1.1-litre petrol engine which puts out 69PS and 99Nm. Another option is the factory-fitted CNG kit, which will provide 59PS of power and 84Nm of torque. And it only comes at the top-end variants like the Magna and Sportz. The standard engine is the five-speed manual transmission. With the CNG version, it is the only transmission option available, while the petrol engine could get a five-speed ATM option as well.

Here is the base variant of Hyundai Santro, so it will come with only the very basic features. The comfort and convenience are not of the best quality as it lacks air conditioner system. What is offered on the D-lite is standard across the range. Noticeably, the base D-lite actually comes across with a very well-packed safety kit including driver airbags, ABS and EBD. These features might come as premium and only are available at the top-spec variants of the segment. Besides these safety goodies, the D-lite also will be equipped with the following features:
Beige-black interior colour scheme
Map pockets and 1-litre bottle holder on the front and rear door
Gear Shift Indicator (manual version)
MID (multi-info display)
Power steering

Price: 4.25 lakh
The second-to-the-base variant is Santro Era. At this variants, other exterior and interior features will be added, for example:
Body-coloured bumpers
Manual AC with rear AC vents
Front power windows
As we can see, the biggest bonus point gained by adding Rs 35,000 is the AC system. You can have all at once, both a manual AC and the rear AC vents. To have a better comfort of cool air, the investment is worthy.

With the Magna, Santro will fuse things up with the ATM and factory-fitted CNG kit. The prices are also various, but what you get will be corresponding to what you pay for. Basically, at this variant, you will get the following features:
Central locking
Fire extinguisher (CNG version only)
Day & night inside rearview mirror (IRVM)
Chrome treatment on the front grille
Body-coloured outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs)

Hyundai Santro Magna has a better infotainment system than the lower variants

With the Sportz, the second-to-the-top variant, the Santro will give you the taste of premiumness. Here you will get a well-equipped infotainment system with a 7-inch touchscreen system and many more. This variant will continue to offer the automatic gearbox option and fuel combination version.
Hyundai Santro Sportz will come with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system

Hyundai Santro Asta is stacked with a full pack of safety techs
If the Sportz edges out the lower variants with a desirable infotainment system, the Asta will get into the game with myriad safety techs. However, one disappointing fact is that it is only available with the manual transmission. Understandable, the price of the Santra Asta is lower than the ATM and CNG option offered on the Sportz.
Rear parking sensors
Rear parking camera
Dual front airbags
Front seatbelt pretensioner with load limiter
Speed-sensing auto door lock
Impact-sensing auto door unlock
