Hyundai Venue will be launched in India on May 21. Besides, Hyundai is currently working on the N Line version of the Venue

Hyundai Venue was unveiled recently in New York and in India simultaneously. Even though the details of the Venue are all public now, the company is yet to divulge any information on a sportier version that could launch under the N banner. Recently, however, there have been some hints of the company's intention of introducing the N Line version of Hyundai Venue for North America and Australian markets. Speaking to the Drive, Brian Smith, the Chief Operating Officer, has reportedly hinted that the Hyundai Venue N Line is in the works and will soon go on sale.

Hyundai Venue N Line will follow the launch of the Sonata N Line

Going by the Hyundai Tucson N Line, it is speculated that the Hyundai Venue N Line will get several exterior and interior changes that will help it look sportier. In all likelihood, the N Line version will not include any changes under the hood, unlike the Sonata N Line, which receives a more powerful engine. In America, the top-spec Hyundai Venue is expected to arrive after Hyundai’s done launching the Sonata N Line. Speculation also suggests the launch of Venue N Performance version is in the works. This version, if at all it comes, will slot above the N Line. While the Venue N Line will get no mechanical changes, the N Performance might be heavily revised considering the powertrains and other engineering aspects.

Updates on the N Line variant is limited to the design only

At the moment, the US-spec Venue will be available with a 1.6-litre petrol motor that makes 123 hp. This engine will come with either a 6-speed manual or CVT option. When it comes to the Indian market, we will get a 1.2 petrol, 1.4 diesel, and a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol unit. The 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine will be available with a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed dual clutch automatic gearbox. Even the 1.4-diesel engine will have 6-speed gearbox while the 1.2-petrol mill goes with a 5-speed manual unit. On May 21, the Hyundai Venue will be officially launched in India. Booking is already underway. The price of the Hyundai Venue is expected to range from Rs 8 lakh to 12 lakh. It will take on the likes of Maruti Brezza, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, and Ford Ecosport.
