The GTX+ 1.5-litre diesel automatic will be the top-spec variant of the diesel-powered Kia Seltos, it will come with features like 8.0-inch head-up display, 360-degree camera, six airbags and much more.

Bookings for the Kia Seltos have been underway since the middle of last month. So far, it was known that the top-spec GTX+ trim will be available only with the 1.4-litre, turbo-petrol option. Now, however, Kia has decided to offer the top-spec GTX+ grade even with the 1.5-litre diesel automatic combo. The new SUV will launch in India on 22nd August and will be offered in two variant categories- Tech Line and GT Line. Among the two, the GT Line is more feature-rich.

Kia has added a new option of GTX+ 1.5-litre diesel automatic variant and even the dealerships have started receiving bookings for this variant.

The Kia Seltos will draw power from three engine choices- 1.5-litre petrol, 1.5-litre diesel and 1.4-litre turbo-petrol. While all the motors will come mated to a six-speed manual transmission as standard, the 1.5-litre petrol will get an optional CVT, the 1.5-litre diesel will get an optional 6-speed torque converter automatic and the 1.4-litre turbo-petrol will come with an optional 7-speed DCT. The GT Line trims are GTE, GTX, GTX and GTX+, while the Tech Line trims include HTE, HTK, HTK+, HTX and HTX+. The GTX+ will be the top-spec variant of Kia Seltos. The GT line models will come loaded with some advanced features like hill-hold control, six airbags, electronic stability control, rain-sensing wipers, first in segment 8.0-inch head-up display and a 360-degree camera. On the outside, the GT Line variant gets red accentuated skid plates and door sills, red brake callipers, sporty 17-inch alloy wheels, and GT Line badging at the front and rear. On the inside, it features a black colour theme, red contrast stitching and alloy pedals.

The Kia Seltos will draw power from three engine choices 1.5-litre petrol, 1.5-litre diesel and 1.4-litre turbo-petrol mill.

The 1.5-litre petrol mill develops 115 PS and 144 Nm, while the 1.5-litre oil burner churns out 115 PS and 250 Nm. The 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine puts out 140 PS and 242 Nm. We expect Kia Seltos to get retailed between Rs 11-17 lakh (ex-showroom). The upcoming SUV will rub shoulders with the likes of Tata Harrier, Hyundai Creta and MG Hector.
