Last week, Kia Motor unveiled the company’s first-ever SUV for India, the Kia Seltos, to the press and the public during its world premiere in NCR. At the event, we got to see the Kia Seltos in the full flesh and caught up the feature details of the new model. However, the South Korean automaker still kept the dimensions and engine specs of the Seltos under the wraps, which ultimately causes our dear enthusiasts some serious curiosity. Luckily, according to a recent report by Autocar, the sizes and power-torque figures of the new Seltos has been leaked ahead of its official launch.
In specifics, the brand new Seltos measures 4,315 mm long, 1,800 mm wide, 1,620 mm high along with the wheelbase of 2,610 mm. As such, the Kia Seltos is 45 mm longer and 20 mm wider than the Hyundai Creta rival, but isn’t as high as the latter counterpart as the Creta gets the height of 1,665 mm. But still, at the wheelbase of 2,610 mm, the all-new Seltos is noticeably longer than that of the Creta which sits at a 2,590 mm wheelbase

The Kia Seltos gets the length and width of 4,315 mm and 1,800 mm, respectively that make it longer and wider than that of the Hyundai Creta.
Under the bonnet, the upcoming Kia Seltos will offer three engines- a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine making 115 HP and 144 Nm, a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel motor tuned for 115HP/ 250 Nm and a 1.4-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol mill producing 140 HP per 242 Nm of torque. All the engines will be available with a 6-speed manual transmission but there will be a specific automatic option for each mill. That said, the automatic gearbox choices should include a CVT for the 1.5-litre gasoline engine, a 6-speed torque converter for the oil burner along with a 7-speed DCT for the 1.4-litre turbo petrol option. It’s worth noting that all the powertrains here are BSVI compliant.
