A Refreshed Tata Car Could Launch Every 2 Months

Tata Motors has said that under their ‘New Forever’ Philosophy, they will keep updating their vehicles every month or two. While speaking to Autocar India, Vivek Srivatsa, Marketing Head, Passenger Vehicles Business Unit, Tata Motor confirmed that the carmaker will more regularly refresh and update its vehicles. Tata Motors is planning to introduce new trims, special editions and will add some new features to the ongoing models to cope up with the changing auto market equations.

Tata Motors is also planning to expand its dealership network

For example, Tata Motors India launched Harrier Dark Edition in India with 14 new updates in August last year. The Dark Edition contributes to around 35% of overall sales of Harrier. Moreover, the carmaker also introduced a dual-tone version of the same in July 2019, which also helped Tata to boost-up sales. Last month, at the Auto Expo 2020, Tata Motors launched the 2020 Harrier with an automatic transmission along with a more powerful motor.

While updating the existing vehicles frequently, Tata Motors is also planning to expand its dealership network. The carmaker has planned to introduce around 200 touchpoints across the country by next year. Furthermore, the carmaker is also planning to launch new products into the Indian market.

Along with Tata Gravitas, the Indian carmaker is also planning to launch Tata Hexa Safari Edition and HBX sub-compact SUV in India in the near future

The next product from Tata will be a 7-seater version of Harrier that will be sold as the Gravitas. It is expected to hit the Indian market in the coming months. The all-new 7-seater SUV will derive power from a 2.0-litre, turbocharged diesel motor that produces 170 bhp and 350 Nm. The same engine does duties in the 2020 Tata Harrier. Tata Gravitas will rub its shoulders with the likes of Mahindra XUV 500. Along with Tata Gravitas, the Indian carmaker is also planning to launch Tata Hexa Safari Edition and HBX sub-compact SUV in India in the near future.
