You may not know that the Kamiq name has been derived from the language of the Inuit people who reside in the Northern Greenland and Canada with the meaning of “perfect”. Coming to the Geneva Motor Show 2019, the Euro-spec Skoda Kamiq offers a completely distinctive look when compared to the China-spec SUV unveiled last year. Employing the latest SUV design language, the all-new Skoda Kamiq shows off the advanced nature thanks to the inclusion of split headlamps with gemstones-shaped LED daytime running lights which is said to “immediately catches the eye” of onlookers.
Skoda Kamiq: All The Highlights
The entry-level SUV, as per the Czech car brand, is the perfect combination of sports utility vehicle and agile compact hatchback. Dynamic turn indicators appear in both the front and rear of the car while the double-slatted large grille and air intake somehow boast the unmistakably premium stylish outcome of the model. On the side profile, the low and flat beltline gives out an elegant and car-like characteristic when the muscular rear-end rolls out the sense of SUV-like angle for the Skoda offering.
“The KAMIQ is the entry-level model in our family of SUVs. Young-looking and fresh, it lacks none of the strength and confidence of the larger models, but is inherently more playful,” said Petr Matušinec, exterior designer of the Kamiq. “Features such as the dual horizontally split headlights give away its provenance as a member of the ŠKODA SUV family and highlight how versatile our design language is,” added Matušinec.
