2020 Skoda Superb (facelift) has debuted at the Auto Expo 2020 as a petrol-only vehicle. Check out all the available details about the car here.

Skoda’s flagship sedan for India, the Superb has made a comeback with a mid-life facelift at the Auto Expo 2020 while its launch is lined up in the subsequent months. The new Skoda Superb receives significant updates to its aesthetic appeal, features compilation as well as the powertrain system.

While retaining the silhouette from the outgoing model, the Skoda Super facelift gets some minute changes at both front and rear. The front fascia has been redesigned so as to freshen up the sedan’s appeal. It comes with a redesigned front bumper, new larger grille along with a set of full-LED Matrix headlamps, something that is first seen in a Skoda model.

On the inside, the updated Superb sports a Virtual Cockpit, an upgraded infotainment system as well as wireless charging as the parts of the highlighting equipment.

Powering the new Skoda Superb sedan is a BSVI-compliant 2.0-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine that takes up the space of the BSIV-spec 1.8-litre TSI petrol unit. This new mill is tuned to produce a healthy power 190 HP and 320 Nm of torque and comes mated to a 7-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission as in the pre-facelift version. The Skoda Superb won’t come with any diesel engine option on the table, in line with the company’s petrol-only plan in the BSVI era.

Price of the Skoda Superb facelift is expected to be higher than the outgoing petrol car by a slight margin. It will come to rival the likes of Volkswagen Passat, Toyota Camry and more in the premium sedan segment.
