Toyota Kirloskar Motor has to launched its Mobility Service program across the nation, starting with three major cities in India. Delhi NCR, Bangalore and Mumbai are the first three cities that Toyota will kick off the Mobility Service. It is expected that after the first year, the Mobility Service will be available in ten cities across India.

With this new service, corporates can lease vehicles at a monthly fee with the lease period ranging from three to five years. Additionally, customers can also subscribe to the mobility service in shorter terms from 24 months to 48 months. The newly-launched Mobility Service includes all the popular models from Toyota’s line-up like Innova Crysta, Fortuner, Yaris, Glanza and so on.

To bring convenience to customers, Toyota has collaborated with KINTO from Toyota Financial Services, ALD Automotive India and SMAS Auto Leasing India. Customers are allowed to customers to pick a car in three to five-year lease and pay on a monthly basis. Monthly fee has already included the costs for vehicle maintenance, insurance and roadside assistance. If you want to lease a car in a shorter term, you can opt for the subscription service. However, the downside is that you will have to pay a higher monthly cost for a short-term subscription than the long-term scheme.

It is expected that the car subscription service will grow in popularity in the future due to all the convenience and flexibility it can offers. At the moment, such subscription offerings are new in India, thereby, there is no measurement or carefully-studied report about the customer’s acceptance. As one of the pioneers in this business, Toyota will conduct research in customer’s preference and behaviour in order to adjust its offering to Indian customer’s liking.
