Volkswagen Partners With Zoomcar For Shared Mobility In India

Under the ZAP Subscribe scheme, Zoomcar, prospective customers will be able to subscribe to a total of 200 VW Polo units for a fixed monthly fee.

Volkswagen India has recently announced partnerships with Zoomcar- a digital platform for self-drive car rental and shared mobility in the Indian market. Within the purview of Zoomcar’s ZAP Subscription model, the VW Polo’s enthusiasts now can subscribe for the hatchback at a fixed monthly subscription amount. Besides, customers who have subscribed to a VW Polo at Zoomcar will receive a range of benefits including tailored financial, repair and maintenance services. That being said, as many as 200 units of Volkswagen Polo are available for subscription under Volkswagen-Zoomcar partnership.

Volkswagen India has already announced its partnership with Zoomcar for shared mobility business.

Under the collaboration with Zoomcar, the German automaker Volkswagen official enters the subscription-based services and shared mobility in India. While the Indian automobile industry has been evolving, customers are paying more attention to the shared mobility solution. In fact, it is predicted that the Indian market will take a massive lead in the shared mobility business by 2023. Therefore, the company is excited to bring on the best-selling car name, the VW Polo through the Zoomcar channel to provide a more convenient, safe and fun-to-drive option.

Volkswagen has made the VW Polo available for customers to subscribe at a fixed monthly fee via Zoomcar services.

The Volkswagen Polo subscription model will be available with two engine options comprising a 1.0-litre MPI gasoline engine and a 1.5-litre TDI diesel unit. The petrol engine can make it good for a maximum power of 74.96 BHP and 95 Nm of peak torque while the oil burner outputs 88.76 BHP of power and 230 Nm of torque. The VW Polo’s fuel mileages stand at Rs 18.78 kmpl for both petrol and diesel versions. In a further development, Volkswagen has also revealed its plans to extend the range of VW cars in India via Zoomcar’s subscription channel in times to come.
