Entry-level Tata Altroz XE Features Modifications Worth Rs 1.2 Lakh, Looks Race-ready

Take a look at this modified Tata Altroz. Well, it is the base variant of the premium hatchback, and it now features an aftermarket body kit and a few other modifications.

The Tata Altroz is the first entrant from the Indian automaker in the premium hatchback segment, and it is a very all-rounded product. It has a very appealing design, well-appointed interiors, and a wide choice of trim levels at attractive prices. Though its launch last year was overshadowed by the pandemic and ensuing lockdown first, then with the launch of the all-new Hyundai i20. Today we came across this Tata Altroz XE that has been extensively modified to look all set for a race.

The video has been uploaded by 47 nation on YouTube. In the video, we can see this Tata Altroz XE getting a host of aftermarket parts. Starting with the front, the headlamps now get a smoked effect with integrated LED DRLs. The grille has been dechromed while the bumper has a new splitter fitted to it. Over to the side, ORVMs and the window lines are now fitted with gloss black PPF and new door visors. The stock wheels have been binned for a new set of 16-inch dished alloys which have been given a black and blue dual-tone finish.

The alloys are now wrapped in wider Continental tyres. The rear gets a new aftermarket spoiler and the rear taillight area has been wrapped in PPF as well while the Tata badge has been dechromed. The interior is kept largely in stock trim, but it now gets an 11-inch Android infotainment system which powers 4 Rockford Fosgate speakers and a JBL subwoofer. There’s new ambient lighting with customizable colours, 7D floor mats, and a universal front armrest. Overall, this modification looks pretty good and stands out in a crowd. The total cost of the modifications for this Altroz was approximately Rs 1.2 lakh.

Prices for the Tata Altroz range from Rs 5.69 lakh for the base XE trim and goes up to Rs 9.95 lakh for the top XZ Option variant. You get 3 engine choices - 1.2L Revotron petrol, 1.2L i-Turbo, and a 1.5L Revotorq. The Revotron is designed to put out 86 against 113 Nm, while the i-Turbo motor develops 110 PS and 140 Nm. Talking of the oil burner, it generates rated power and torque outputs of 90 PS and 200 Nm. Transmission duties on the Altroz are performed by a 5-speed MT. However, the carmaker would soon be introducing the option of a 7-speed DCT.
