The Tata Nexon is the go-to-choice in the subcompact SUV segment if safety is your top priority, coming with a class-best 5-star GNCAP safety rating.
The Tata Nexon is one of the best subcompact SUV you can buy currently in India if you want to go for something else than the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza or the Hyundai Venue. The Nexon is offered with feature-loaded variants, impressive build quality, multiple powertrain options, and is currently the safest vehicle in the segment with a full 5-star safety rating from Global NCAP. Tata gave the Nexon a mid-life refresh last year that gave the SUV a redesigned front-end and updated the feature list. The Nexon is also becoming a favourite among aftermarket modifiers, with accessories widely available. Today we came across this Nexon that gets a tasteful modification.
As you can see in the pictures, this Tata Nexon remains fairly stock except for a few slight changes. The front grille has been dechromed and the ORVMs get a carbon fibre finish. Moving to the interior, the owner has given carbon fibre trimmings on the door handles and the sides of the centre console. The centre of the steering wheel getting a carbon fibre insert as well. The rest of the interior remains standard otherwise. Though this is a fairly small modification, the carbon fibre livens up the Nexon’s cabin.
The refreshed Tata Nexon gets an updated cabin with the likes of a new steering wheel, same as the Nexon EV’s, new dashboard trim with more of the tri-arrow motif exterior, and new seat fabric. The Nexon also ditches its analogue dials for a full-digital setup. The features list sees major additions in the form of automatic headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, tyre pressure monitoring system, cruise control, a sunroof, and ORVMs with auto-fold function.
The Tata Nexon is available in two engine options, a 1.2-litre turbo petrol which churns out peak figures of 120 PS/ 170, or a 1.5-litre turbo-diesel which makes 110 PS/260 Nm of max figures. Both engines can be paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed AMT. Prices for the new facelifted model starts from Rs 7.09 lakh, with the top trim coming in at Rs 12.79 lakh. Between its petrol and diesel engines, The Nexon is available in over 30 variants to choose from.
