The X3 is not a totally four-wheel drive vehicle but comes with Apollo Apterra tyres, which helps it perform well around the track. Accompanying the celebrity are Onkar S Kanwar, Chairman and Neeraj Kanwar, Vice Chairman and MD, Apollo Tyres Ltd. Neeraj Kanwar and Sachin Tendulkar also participated in a quick off-roading on many tracks.

It is quite uncommon for a celebrity to participate in such activities, especially in a harsh condition with the strong sun and the dusty road track. However, the encouragement from nearly 50 off-roaders, journalists, social media influencers and many other people from all over India helped Sachin overcome all the difficulties and completed the challenge successfully. The smile on his face shows that he was totally satisfied with the journey.

Commenting on the event, Neeraj Kanwar, Managing Director and Vice Chairman and of Apollo Tyres Ltd stated,
“We wanted to provide budding off-roaders and enthusiasts a platform to come together and discover the roads less travelled across the vast Indian terrain. Bad Road Buddies is a special initiative curated by Apollo Tyres for them. We are extremely excited about our first edition of #BadRoadBuddies. This would also help the off-roaders experience the Apollo Apterra tyres, which are designed to tackle the rough roads with ease, making the journey more thrilling.”
With such events, Apollo Tyres expects to develop #BadRoadBuddies as a community for SUVs drivers. In the event this year which lasted two days, almost 100 vehicles got equipped with Apollo Apterra tyres, travelling from Goa to Dandeli and then back, experiencing a wide variety of demography types, including both man-made and natural off-road tracks. The event came to an end with a live performance from ‘Parikrama’ the rock & roll band.
