With the upcoming launch of the new-gen Maruti Ertiga, details of the car have been revealed. The new Maruti Ertiga will replace the ongoing version which has been out for six years.
Firstly, Maruti confirms that the new Ertiga is going to draw power from the 1.5-litre petrol engine and a 1.3-litre diesel. Beforehand, they have been predicted to be Maruti’s choices for the new Ertiga. The petrol engine is brought from the Maruti Ciaz facelift, while the diesel version is powered by the same old 1.3-litre engine. The power outlet is 105BHP/138Nm on the petrol version and 90hp at 4,400rpm/200Nm on the diesel version.
Maruti Ertiga comes with either petrol and diesel engines
Maruti Ertiga petrol version will sport the mild-hybrid SHVS technology which has already been introduced on Ciaz’s facelift. But on the petrol variants, the SHVS will come with dual-battery setup while the diesel gets the same single battery system just like the previous diesel model. With the help of this tech, the Ertiga could stretch for higher mileage than the previous version.
The transmission options available on the petrol version include a 4-speed torque converter automatic gearbox and the 5-speed manual unit. On the other hand, the diesel engine comes with a 5-speed manual transmission.
Maruti Ertiga is getting bigger in the upcoming generation
On the dimension front, the new Ertiga measures at 4,395mm long, 1,735mm wide and 1,690mm high, and the wheelbase is 2,740mm long. Compared with the previous model, it has grown in length and width, which indicates a better interior space.
Here are the colour options offered on the all-new Ertiga:
Auburn Red
Magma Grey
Oxford Blue
Arctic White
Silky Silver
Maruti Suzuki has opened booking for the MPV at the payment of Rs 11,000.
