The all-new Renault Kiger is nearing its last stage of testing. Right now, the automaker is testing its production-spec model. The SUV has been spotted while getting tested wearing heavy camouflage, but it was not able to hide its lines and creases. Here’s a new digital rendering by our in-house rendering specialist who shows how the upcoming production-spec Kiger could look like. The Renault Kiger rendering shows that it follows the same design language as the facelifted Renault Kwid. Upfront, the Kiger gets twin-slat radiator grille that blends into sleek LED DRLs, which also works as side indicators.

The positioning of the LED DRLs can confuse a lot of people at first sight. Like the Renault Kwid, the actual headlamp cluster is positioned in the place of fog lamps. The headlamp cluster features three LED projector lamps, which is also seen in the test models. With too much lighting elements on offer, the upcoming sub-4-meter SUV is expected to offer a decent amount of illumination. The lower part of the bumper gets multi-slat air-dam that gels up well with the cladding. The new Renault Kiger will get two wiper blades. The bonnet of the SUV will also employ pronounced line like the ones you see in the rendered picture. The upcoming Renault SUV will also get bulky roof rails that will give it a muscular look. Moving towards the side, the test cars were spotted riding on smart-looking alloy wheels, which seems to be 16-inches in diameter.

The upcoming Renault Kiger will be based on the company’s CMF-A+ platform. The same platform also underpins the Triber. Mechanically, the all-new Renault SUV will be powered by 1.0-litre naturally-aspirated petrol and a 1.0-litre turbocharged gasoline mill. The former puts out 72 PS of power and 96 Nm of twisting force, while the latter develops 100 PS and 160 Nm of torque. The 1.0-litre NA unit will come paired with a 5-speed MT, while the 1.0-litre turbo petrol motor will come mated to a 6-speed MT or a 6-speed AMT.
