Since Mercedes-Benz has been the largest-selling premium car brand in the Indian market, it’s quite a pleasure that the Mercedes-Benz A-Class sedan will be launched in India in late this year. For the uninitiated, the LWB version of the A-Class Sedan has been a resounding success of the brand in the Chinese market, we expect the same will go for the Indian-spec model, as long as it’s equipped and priced well in our country.
What we don’t know is that if we get the special LWB variant of the A-Class from China or the standard model. However, given the roaring success of the LWB model in China, we bet on that variant to make it into our country.
The upcoming Mercedes-Benz A-Class will be powered by BS6-compliant, 1330 cc turbo-petrol engine, developing 163 PS of power and 250 Nm of peak torque and comes mated to a 7-speed DCT option. The list of upcoming cars under 50 lakh in India continues with the Audi Q3 which is slated for the launch in around October 2020. When it comes to the SUVs from Audi, the Q3 is quite a popular nameplate. We expect that the new-gen Q3 will have a lot more to bring in the table upon its official launch. While the design of the new Q3 is quite identical to the previous-gen model, the all-new SUV will be bigger than the outgoing car by quite a margin.
The refreshed Q3 will measure 4,485 mm long, 1,849 mm wide and 1,585 mm high, along with the wheelbase of 2,680 mm. It carries on using the large and hexagonal front grille that features vertical chrome stripes. The LED tail lamps have been tweaked a bit to get a Lamborghini look at the back.

Volkswagen is considering reintroducing one of its flagship sedan, the Passat in the Indian market. Though not doing well in terms of sales in the new car market, VW is still an auto company that delivers the most reliable cars in the Indian space. The 2020 VW Passat is looked to follow that pathway.
As for a VW car, the upcoming Passat looks quite sleek on the outside with a sharp front grille with chrome accents, muscular bonnet, rectangular LED headlamps and angular tail lamps. The VW Passat comes with a spacious and comfortable cabin, in line with most of the brand’s vehicles. The upcoming VW car will bring in a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 174 PS of power and 206 Nm of torque under its skin, paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission that offers the front-wheel-drive capabilities. The smallest crossover from Mercedes, the GLA 2020 is destined to hit the premium car segment in India by storm in later this year. The 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLA is designed to look sportier and perform better on the drive. It comes with shorter overhangs, aggressive 18-inch wheels and raked windshield at the front. The oversized Mercedes-Benz branding makes the front grille look a bit smaller but it’s not something that depreciates the GLA’s overall look.
Under the hood of the GLA 2020 lies a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine tuned to make 208 PS of max power and 258 Nm of peak torque. Mated to this engine will be a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT).
