Recently, BMW confirmed its plan to launch a fully-electric version of the X3, named the iX3 to the world’s enthusiasts. Now, the German auto giant is gearing up for the introduction of a mid-life facelift of X3 which has been spotted on test with minimal camouflage. The existing BMW X3 has been around since 2017, so, the car surely needs a makeover now.
While retaining most of its DNA from the previous model, the upcoming BMW X3 facelift will feature new bumpers and redesigned headlamps and tail lamps and that’s why the camouflage is put on the front bumper and rear bumper only, while the rest of the car can be seen without any concealment.

Since the new X3 is merely a facelift, it is not expected to carry the latest version of the company’s kidney grille, which we’ve seen on the new BMW 4 Series. However, some minor tweaks might make it to the grille to give it a fresher look. The test car has appeared with small wheels and rounded exhaust tips, suggesting that it might be an entry-level variant.
Not much has been changed inside the BMW X3 facelift, since it is just a mild facelift. However, we do expect the updated X3 to be equipped with some fresh features as well as an upgraded iDrive system.
