BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine Launched in India At Rs 51.50 Lakh

The BMW 3-Series Gran Limousine gets an additional 113 mm in the wheelbase for extra interior space over the regular sedan version.

BMW has launched the 3-series Gran Limousine in India with the introductory prices of around Rs 51.50 lakh – 53.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The new BMW 3-Series Gran Limousine is essentially the extended wheelbase version of the current 3-Series sedan and comes in a choice of both petrol and diesel engine options. Currently, the BMW 3-Series Gran Coupe is available in three variants – 330 Li Luxury Line, 320 Ld Luxury Line along with 330 Li M Sport ‘First Edition’.

Exterior wise, the BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine is basically 110 mm longer than the standard 3-Series sedan version, thanks to the extended wheelbase. Apart from that, the 3-Series Gran Limousine looks identical to the regular sedan model and there are no other cosmetic changes made to the vehicle. However, the 3-Series Gran Limousine M Sport variant boasts of a different bumper and gloss black trims. It makes use of a set of larger 18-inch alloy wheels while the Luxury Line variant sports 17-inch V-Spike units. The German company offers four paint schemes for the 3-Series Gran Limousine including Carbon Black, Cashmere Silver, Mineral White and Melbourne Red.

On the inside, the Gran Limousine’s cabin sports a similar layout to that of the standard 3-Series. However, with the extended wheelbase, it offers an extra 43 mm in the legroom for the rear passenger. The longer doors also help enhance the ingress and egress of the vehicle.

There’s an 8.8-inch iDrive touchscreen infotainment system offered with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, panoramic sunroof, mood lighting, multi-zone climate control, etc. as the outstanding features on the interior. Under the bonnet, the BMW 3-Series Gran Limousine borrows the same engines from the standard sedan, namely a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine and a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel motor. Both the engines come linked with 8-speed automatic transmission. The claimed acceleration time of the BMW 3-Series Gran Limousine is 6.2 second for the petrol and 7.6 seconds for the diesel model.
