Tata has now revamped the feature list of its small entry-level hatchback Tiago and the Tigor compact sedan with the addition of a fully-digital instrument console. Only the XZA+ variants of the cars will come equipped with this new addition while remaining variants will do with the old twin-pod analog clusters.

Tata updates Tiago and Tigor with all-digital instrument cluster for the top-end XZA+ variants.
The digital instrument cluster that is added on the feature list is a monochromatic negative-LCD unit that means it will only show a single color. And only the7-segmented LCD will light up here. The instrument cluster looks practical with large and easy readouts for all the information.
The trapezoidal instrument cluster is designed neatly to house a large central compartment for the speedometer, surrounded by two digital bar-readouts for the tachometer, fuel gauge, and temperature gauge. Apart from these readouts, the speedometer console also houses a MID screen which displays information like the distance to empty, average fuel consumption, an odometer, and two trip meters. The new all-digital instrument console is pretty neatly designed feels better laid out and is an easy read over the twin-pod analog unit.

The digital instrument has a large speedometer in the centre, with two flanks on sides for the tachometer, fuel gauge and temperature gauge.
The Tiago recently got an update for its infotainment screen, where the 5.0-inch unit was replaced with a 7.0-inch one, with the support of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The infotainment screen also doubles up as a display for the rear parking camera. A set of passive safety features such as ABS with EBD assistance, dual-front airbags, seat-belt reminders, high-speed alerts and reverse parking sensors as standard.

However, the digital instrument cluster is the only change that Tata has bought in the Tiago and Tigor range, a facelift is under works for early next year. The facelift would be a part of the BS-6 update and might see a retuned engine for the Tiago and the Tigor. For now, the cars get power from a 1.2L petrol engine and a 1.05L diesel engine. The petrol unit produces 85Ps and 114Nm, and the diesel mill churns out a 140Nm and 70Ps as its peak output.
The prices for the cars with the updated digital instrument console are not changed, and the XZA+ variant for the Tiago will retail at rupees 6.70 lacs and Tigor for rupees 7.45 lacs. But, the XZA+ is only available with a petrol engine as of now.
