Jaguar’s first all-electric SUV, the Jaguar I-Pace is the next model in the list of upcoming cars in India under 1 crore. While the global-spec Jaguar I-Pace has gone on sale since 2018, the India-spec car is set to hit the market in late 2020 or early 2021. The Jaguar I-Pace will join the premium EV segment in India with the price estimated at around Rs 58 lakh (ex-showroom).
By housing an electric motor on each axle, the Jaguar I-Pace will deliver up to 400 PS of power that propels it from 0 to 100 kmph in only 4.8 seconds. Apart from the powerful motors, the Jaguar I-Pace is also fitted with a massive 90 kWh lithium-ion battery that gives the car a driving range of 470 kilometres on a single charge. As claimed by the company, the battery can be charged with enough power to run 270 kilometres via a 50 kW DC charger in just 60 minutes. The 7 kW AC charger will take about 10 hours to charge the battery to 80 per cent.
