BMW X5 - the incredible SUV will be introduced in the Indian market at the whopping price of 77.9 lakhs. It comes with many high-end features and unbeatable performance.

BMW X5 was kicked off in 1999. Back then, the X5 was the pioneer in injecting sporty characteristic to an SUV. This car led the trend of making sporty SUV with excellent handling. Two decades from that point, BMW X5 has become one of the most successful SUV in the market and is coming to its fourth generation which is expected to arrive Indian next year. And the all-new X5 will surely bring in the sportiness under the giant form of an SUV with a higher level of refinement and premiumness.

1. BMW X5 2018 Dimension

SUVs triumph other car body type in terms of size. Within the segment of SUVs, the large dimension is something worth to boast about. Not to mention the fact that every car line is getting bigger and bigger regardless of the segment it belongs to. And BMW X5 will be no exception.

Coming to the fourth generation, X5 will grow 36mm in length and 19mm in height. The height is indeed the most extended dimension with the addition of 66mm. The wheelbase is getting a 42-mm growth. X5 has become larger in all aspect.

And the extension in size could translate into a more spacious interior room, and a better road presence. Apparently, the third row will offer more legroom, shoulder room, and headroom. The first and the second are not excluded: they will also get better with more ample room.

2. BMW X5 2018 Exterior

On the exterior front, the BMW X5 will be increasingly pronounced. Most noticeably, the X5 will get bolder body line and more muscular. Especially on the front, you can find a bold shoulder line toned bonnet of the car. The signature double-kidney grille of the BMW will get considerably larger with the thicker chrome slats. Besides the extended grille, virtually, every part of the front is getting larger, from the fog light housing to air dam.

The design of the new BMW X5 is stronger and bolder than the previous model

The strong design continues to the side of BMW X5. The highlight of the side is the chrome strip bordering the window and the aggressive diamond-cut alloy wheels. More subtly, two character lines will tone up the side of the X5. The rear end features slim split tail lights and thin fog light along with a chrome contoured exhausted pipe. What’s more, the boot lid is electrically operated and the loading lip could be adjusted, making it easier to put luggage to the boot space.

3. BMW X5 2018 Interior

Interior Design

The fourth-gen X5 will not only get better in the exterior style but also improve inside. You will see the latest technology in the new BMW X5.

For example, the traditional dual pod is replaced by a full-digital instrument cluster. Its function will go well beyond the simple task of showing the figure. In the new X5, the digital display will also give you the graphic navigation guide at the centre of the screen. The smart digital instrument cluster also allows showcasing more information and data of the car. This unit gives the cabin an undeniable futuristic look with high-quality graphics. However, it leads to overloaded display which might be confusing and distractive for many. And the digital needle doesn’t give a responsive display.

Along with the new instrument cluster, there are several tweaks throughout the dashboard. One of those is the new floating touchscreen with broader black piano border. The touchscreen is responsive with a high-quality display, and the best part is that it goes with gesture control.

Underneath the touchscreen unit is the air vent with multi-controls of the air conditioner system. Besides, a small display screen showing the information of the AC system is flanked between the two vents. This smart-looking unit replaces the old manual buttons in the old version.

The interior in the new BMW X5 will be revised from the last version

Compared with the old version, the latest dash’s design is simpler, less cluttered, allowing a better practicality.

The leather-wrapped seats of the BMW X5 will give you an uttermost pleasure. The drive could enjoy a broader view ahead due to the high-raised seats. On top of that, you can give your back a rest with a massage session with the massage function. What a wonderful treat!

The petrol version is likely to be powered by the 50i 4.4 litre, V8 petrol engine could release 68PS of power and 650Nm of torque.

With such impressive power figures, the BMW X5 has all the power on tap. And the powerful and smooth performance is accompanied by happy-revving sounds.

The transmission duty is done by an eight-speed Steptronic auto gearbox. The X5 is assisted by the X all-wheel-drive system which would smartly adjust the power distribution between the front and the rear wheels on different driving situations.
