Volkswagen Vento 360 View: Exterior Review

The Volkswagen Vento itself is a clean-designed and uncluttered sedan and all these traits have been carried forward in the 2019 VW Vento model. For some people, the Vento might not be as flashy as the Hyundai Verna but for us, the new Vento is really attractive enough to appeal to a wide range of audiences who appreciate the grace rather than the gorgeous outside appearance. Particularly, the new stunning sunset red paint scheme makes the Vento more exciting to look at.

Front View

The 2019 Volkswagen Vento gets quite a stylish face which gets a huge inspiration from the new Polo sibling. The new honeycomb mesh grille looks premium enough with the glossy black treatment. The restyled headlamps are sharper than the outgoing models and offer projector lights in the lower-spec models as well as the full-LED units in the top-spec variants.

It gets an updated bumper featuring a new air dam with large blacked-out honeycomb mesh grille as well, which is flanked by the pair of fog lamps and corning lamps housing at the outer ends. The new bonnet of the Vento looks quite elegant but striking enough to draw the eyes of the opposite onlookers on the roads.

Side View

The current Vento gets a new side skirt with chrome trims on its profile which fits well with the new sporty multi-spoke alloy wheels as seen in the new VW Polo. The blacked-out ORVMs, body-coloured door handles with chrome inserts, the other hand, makes a good visual effect with the side skirts and black roof and all.

Rear View

At the rear, the VW Vento also gets a new honeycomb rear bumper with mesh black patterns like the one at the front. The new smoked taillamps seem quite enticing to look at. There’s a chrome strip stretching to the width of the car with a VW badge atop of it.

Volkswagen Vento Colours: How Many Colour Options Are There?

The VW Vento is available with six colour options including reflex silver, candy white, carbon steel, lapiz blue, toffee brown, and sunset red. It’s worth noting that the Volkswagen Vento Highline Plus is offered with sunset red, candy white and lapiz blue with a black roof as optional.

Verdict: Is Volkswagen Vento Worth Buying?

The Volkswagen Vento is a compelling and rewarding car to buy. Available at the price range of around Rs 8.78 – 14.50 lakhs, the Volkswagen Vento is not the most aggressively-priced sedan in its segment, but it surely offers a lot of driving pleasures. The Vento has a reputation for good engineering and solid build quality, high responsiveness and functionality to keep the driver engaged.

The build quality can be felt right from the moment you close the door. However, it could be better if the wheelbase of the car could be increased a bit for more room for the rear passengers. Besides, the auto-hold function for the automatic transmission will have worked wonders for the sedan as well. The maintenance cost of the car is a bit high compared to other Maruti or Hyundai offerings. Regardless, it isn’t hard to understand that you need to pay to maintain the good quality the car offers. In fact, most buyers revealed that they never regretted buying the VW Vento despite the slightly higher cost of maintenance.
