Maruti Vitara Brezza 2018 is an absolute stunner. But is there anything else inside this appealing exterior look?

Maruti Vitara Brezza is a favorite compact SUV in the India market. Brezza offers only one engine option, which is 1.3-litre DDiS200 diesel engine. However, the manufacturers still manage to keep the price competitive in comparison with other petrol-engine SUV counterparts.

Brezza owns a sharp and stylish exterior look. Besides, the interior is equipped with various entertainment functions. It is also considered to be among the most fuel economic car of its segment. IndianAuto.com will give you the full review of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza 2018.

Maruti Vitara Brezza will be the next cool car in town

1. Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza Exterior

Before getting into the details, let’s look at the size of the Brezza. It is 3,995 mm in length, 1,790 mm in width and 1,640 mm in height, the wheelbase is 2,500 mm. When compared to other compact SUVs of its class like EcoSport, Brezza seems to be shorter in height and length, but its greater width provides plenty of room for seating. Brezza has a notable ground clearance of 198 mm.

The front of Maruti Vitara Brezza 2018 features a sportier look

The rear side of the Brezza looks bold and proportionate

The exterior of Brezza leaves an impression of a proportionate and bold design, from the extended bumper to the aggressive dual-barrel headlamps and a large air dam. In the higher variants, the front features both daytime running lamps and projector headlamp. It also bears the striking characteristics of an SUV with large wheels and a floating roof. The sporty look of Bzezza will fuel excitement for more adventures.

The exterior design reminds us of the Grand Vitara which was on the market around 2000. Both feature the chrome grille, swept-back headlamp in the front.

Buyers are offered with variants of interesting color combinations of the roof and the low car body, for example, black and red or blue and white, yellow and white, and orange and white. The dual color is only featured in the top-spec variants; the base models offer only single exterior paints, which are grey, white and silver. Blue, red, and yellow is also available for different ranges of variants - red for variants from LDi to ZDi, blue for VDi to ZDi variants, yellow for ZDi only.

The boot space of Brazza is 328 litres, which is not as large as Mahindra TUV 300 or Ford EcoSport but still provides enough space for packaging. It is possible to gain more space to pack more stuff by folding the back seats.

2. Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza Interior

The interior features the all-black theme, which gives a neat and simplistic looks. Now, let’s look at the dashboard. It contains a touchscreen in the center console to show information and tasks for playing music, displaying maps and directions, receiving and making phone calls. The touchscreen features Bluetooth connectivity, GPS and parking camera (for ZI+ variant) as well as USB, aux, SD card input. The touchscreen is supported by Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. But only the top variant, ZDi+, features the Smartplay infotainment system. Under the touchscreen are the audio system controls, and automatic climate controls.

The simplistic and all-black interior is the new highlight of the Maruti Vitara Brezza

Covering in the all-black theme, the wheeling stands outs with the Suzuki silver-shining symbol. Buttons which represent audio and phone functions are attached to the wheel – it will allow easy access to audio and telephony control. In ZDi+ variant, the steering section might feel a bit confusing as there are many function buttons on it, including phone control, voice commands, cruise control and audio system. Moreover, the wheel features tilt adjustment. The adjustable driver seat adds more taste of comfort for driving.

It is impossible to not notice the chic and modern-looking two-pod unit with bordering lines of 5 different lighting colors – red, blue, white, yellow and orange. Between two pods is the MID which displays information including fuel consumption, temperature, and time.

With a large headroom and legroom, the cabin is spacious in both of the front and back seat rows. The space in the cabin can comfortably accommodate 5 people. For a sub-4 meter car, this is worth-praising. AC is not available for the rear seats.

3. Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza Performance

Brezza is equipped with four-cylinder turbo diesel engine. The only 1.3 liter DDiS200 diesel engine delivers the power of 90PS and 200Nm torque. It features 5-speech manual transmission. The mileage is about 24.3 kmpl.

The turbo could fall limp when the engine speed is under 2000rpm. Above that point, the engine runs more comfortably. The sounds of the engine could be a little bit upsetting for the driving experience.

The Brezza comes first in the segment  in terms of the fuel efficiency

Clutch is light and easy to control but the gear might require more force than usual. The steering does not feel light but firm and manageable for both city and highway driving. However, it is marked that the steering might not exert a precise control when you command a sharp turn.

Brezza is on the taller side, plus having a heavy diesel engine. As the result, the suspension of the car is firm, which contributes to greater handling. Especially when making a turn at the corner, you can feel how manageable and controllable it is. The performance on the highway is also stable.

4. Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza Safety Features

The safety package that Brezza offers includes dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, front seat belts with pre-tensioners and force limiters. But apart from the seatbelt and driver-seat airbags features, other safety applications are not available as standards for the base variant. However, in the near future, Maruti will update ABS and dual front airbags as a standard feature. They also prepare to bring in AMT (automated manual transmission) variants. But sadly, the update of petrol engines is not in their plan.

5. Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza Variants and Prices

Brezza is a hot star in the showroom around India, with six variants available: LDi, LDi(O), VDi, VDi(O) and ZDi+. Maruti Brezza ZDi+ - the top-spec variants – has some worthwhile bonus features, namely reverse parking camera, engine push/ start-stop, cruise control, automatic headlamp, automatic adjustable ORVMs, rain-sensing wiper, leather seat, voice command, and navigation.

The main rivals of Brezza are Ford EcoSport, Mahindra TUV300, Maruti S-Cross, Renault Duster.
