Honda is offering some exciting discounts with the tenth-gen Civic. It derives power from a petrol and diesel motor.
Back in 2019, Honda launched the tenth-gen Civic in the Indian market. The all-new model of the premium sedan is not able to grab a good share in the Indian market. After looking at the poor sales figure of the new-gen Civic, the automaker has decided to discontinue the premium sedan. Honda has halted the production of Civic and CR-V at their Noida facility, and the leftover stock of the car is offered with some amazing discounts. As per reports, the tenth-gen Civic is being offered with discounts up to Rs 2.5 lakhs. Talking about the discounts, the petrol variant of the car is offered with Rs 1,00,000 lakh discount, while the diesel trim of the sedan is offered with a cash discount of Rs 2,50,000. These offers are subject to stock availability.
The discounts are offered across all the Honda dealerships in India. Such massive discounts make the tenth-gen Civic a more capable offering. Talking about the new-gen Honda Civic, mechanically, it derives power from 1.8-litre four-pot, i-VTEC petrol mill and a 1.6-litre four-cylinder, i-DTEC diesel engine. The former develops 140bhp of power and 174 Nm of peak torque, while the latter is capable of shredding out power and torque outputs of 118bhp and 300 Nm. The petrol mill comes coupled to a CVT, while the diesel engine comes paired with a 6-speed MT. In the international market, the sedan is offered with a variety of petrol engines such as - a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and 2.0-litre naturally-aspirated unit.
There’s also a 1.8-litre oil-burner on offer. Moreover, the sportier Honda Civic Type R is propelled by a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol unit, which develops 320bhp of peak power. The motor comes mated to a 6-speed MT. The Japanese automaker has plans to introduce the new 2021 model of the sedan by next year. It has been spotted several times while getting tested. The eleventh-gen Honda Civic will feature new design changes and feature upgrades on outside and inside. It is likely to be slightly expensive than the outgoing model of the car.
