An array of active and passive driver support systems such as blind spot monitor and collision mitigating system, autonomous cruise control system, lane-keeping assist, etc is also likely to be found on the new Passat.

Powering the 2020 facelifted Volkswagen Passat will be a larger version of the 1.4L Evo motor offered in the global market. To be more specific, it will receive the power from the brand-new 1.5L Evo motor. Moreover, the 2.0L engine which is available in the Indian market will remain to be under the hood of the new vehicle. The high-spec GTE variant will be set to team up with the more low-cost hybrid variant to make it more competitive in the Indian auto market.
