Jeep Wrangler JT Launched in India, Priced At Rs 63.94 Lakh in India

The fourth-gen Jeep Wrangler JT was launched in the international market back in 2017. After two years, it has finally entered the Indian market. The Wrangler JT is grown-up Jeep Wrangler with extended dimensions. It is now retailed via 10 dealerships across India at the price of 63.94 lakh.

In the international market, the Wrangler JT comes in different configurations. For the India market, it is available as a 5-door vehicle. Also, it comes with only one variant – the long-wheelbase Unlimited variant. Compared to the Wrangler, the four-gen Wrangler JT is longer, wider and taller by 130 mm, 17 mm and 9 mm respectively. The wheelbase is increased by 61 mm. Besides, the JT model also gets a higher ground clearance of 215 mm which is higher than its predecessor by 29 mm. Other specs of this SUV include a 41.8-degree approach angle, 21-degree break-over angle and 36.1-degree departure angle. 2019 Jeep Wrangler JT also receives some cosmetic updates which transform the styling of the vehicle into a curvier and more up-to-date version.

About the powertrain, Jeep Wrangler JT derives power from a newly-developed 2.0-litre GME T4 turbocharged engine. The old diesel engine on the previous Jeep Wrangler is discontinued. This engine can reach a maximum power of 268 Bhp and a peak torque of 400 Nm. It is paired with 8-speed automatic transmission. Jeep Wrangler JT features a stop/start function. India-spec Wrangler comes with the standard Selec-Trac 4WD system.

2019 Jeep Wrangler JT receives LED headlights, LED foglights, LED DRLs along with LED taillight. The forth-gen model sports 18-inch alloy wheels with Granite Crystal spokes. On the inside, the Wrangler JT features an all-black theme with the application of premium leather upholstery as well as Grillz garnish on the handles, knobs and bezels. About the infotainment system, it also has a gets a larger 8.4-inch touchscreen unit with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto support. Besides, the Jeep Wrangler is available with satellite navigation function and dual-zone climate control.
