Mahindra XUV300 Bags Over 26,000 Bookings

Mahindra XUV300’s booking has doubled, crossing the 26,000 bookings mark since its first month sales.

Launched in February, Mahindra XUV300 has made a huge step in terms of commercial record. Good news is flooding for the Mahindra XUV300. One month after launch, Mahindra XUV300 locks over 13,000 bookings. Last month, it has become the second best-selling models in the popular sub-four-meter segment, just after the Maruti Brezza.  Recently Mahindra has confirmed that they are going to export the Mahindra XUV300 to the South African market. Mahindra also announced that the booking has doubled from the first month’s number, reaching 26,000 orders in two months and a half after launch.

According to Mahindra, most of the orders, about 70 per cent, are for the top-spec variant with full features package. Petrol engine attracts great attention from the customers. Specifically, during the first month of sales, the petrol variants account for 40 per cent of the monthly sales, equal to 2,744 units sold.

Mahindra XUV300 is available in four variants – W4, W6, W8 and W8 Option. Each grade comes with both diesel and petrol engine. The top-spec W8 Option could have with one dual tone choice. While the diesel ranges from Rs. 8.49 lakh to 12.14 lakh, the petrol variant ranges from 7.9 lakh to 11.64 lakh.

In terms of powertrains, Mahindra XUV300 is powered by either a 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine or a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine. Both of which comes with the 6-speed manual gearbox. At the moment, an automatic option is not on offer but Mahindra is likely to distribute diesel XUV300 with ATM transmission soon.

The major reason for Mahindra XUV300’s instant rise in popularity is due to its well-equipped feature fitments. It is the first car in the segment to offer seven airbags, four-wheel disc brakes, and dual-zone climate control, and heated wing mirrors. Across the range, there will be dual airbags, ABS with EBD, all-wheel disc brake, power window and steering modes. Other premium features included on the list are sunroof, front and rear parking sensors with camera, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, LED taillights, and a tyre-pressure monitoring system.
